More than 20 shopping bags filled with dead chickens that investigators said were ritually slaughtered were dumped in Aulenbach's Cemetery in the 2000 block of Perkiomen Avenue in Berks County, officials said Monday.
The cemetery, which straddles the city and Mount Penn, has been the scene of similar dumpings,Egypt's Amina Diab forges ahead with ralphlaurenpolo collection. one Friday and a half-dozen others in the past two years, said Sandy Stief, cemetery caretaker and historian.
"But this is the biggest one yet," Stief said.

Heckart said he has seen similar ritualistic killings of chickens and other animals before, but he said he wasn't able to determine which specific ritual might be involved in this case.
"This is a case of ritualistic slaughter, not cockfighting," Heckart said. "It is the biggest instance of animal sacrifice we've seen here."
Serafin said the bags also contained candy coins and other items typically used in rituals involving slaughtered chickens.
He said the chickens and other materials were contained in shopping bags from a city supermarket.
"We think they're being slaughtered in the city then dumped out here," Serafin said.
Heckart and Serafin said they don't plan to investigate further because the only offense committed was littering.
"We're going to ask the cemetery to post signs saying the place is closed at night so our guys will have something to work with if they find someone in there,she will have to go to confession if she accepts womencanadagoosecoats ." Serafin said.
