Whitney said the changes to the MET effectively result in a new tax on the hospital of $10 million per year.
The cuts in the MET and Medicaid payments to the hospital in general will have a more than $25 million impact on the hospital for fiscal year 2011, according to Whitney.
“They’re not suppose to cut rates to a point where it jeopardizes services to our patients,” Whitney said. “We feel if we’re going to fight for these resources in our community, this (lawsuit) is the only alternative available.”
Core Physicians has already suspended its adult dental program and Whitney said other “difficult budget decisions” will have to be made if things stay on their current course.Just go ahead and try and shop around for newerahatsonline.
“This is a big deal for us,” he said. “No one is fighting for the needs of the patients. The impact of this will last a long time unless we can find a way to stop it.”
Steve Ahnen, president of the New Hampshire Hospital Association, called the filing of the lawsuit on Monday a “significant action.Find a stonefireplace Manufacturer and Supplier.”

House Speaker William O’Brien, R-Mont Vernon, didn’t immediately comment on the suit.
Shannon Shutts, who handles media relations for O’Brien, said the speaker couldn’t comment on the suit because he has yet to see it.
O’Brien previously praised the passing of the state budget, saying that it “provides tax relief to help our economy grow and create jobs, while tightening our belt, as the working families of New Hampshire are doing right now across New Hampshire.”
