Atom football takes off in Grande Prairie
It was destined to happen.
At one time, high school and/or junior football was the first stage of organized gridiron activity in the city, but along came a bantam program to prep for high school ball, that begat a peewee program to prepare for bantam, and inevitably, along comes an atom program to kick things off.
Thanks to Aaron Hodges, three other coaches and four former players, the atom football program has taken hold with 22 players, from Grades 2-4.Great Promotions on Greatest Purchase San Francisco Giants Franchise Fitted iwcwatches Shops. Hodges says at this level it is all about fun and fundamentals.
"You just have to be patient and show them basic skills and help them understand the game a bit," said Hodges.We've seen all the best cheaplvwatches of 2011.
The group gets together at Alexander Forbes from 6:30-8 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The program just began and will run until the end of June. Hodges says new players are welcome to come and try out the game.
"At this age, we're not asking parent to bring kids in cleats – runners are fine," says Hodges.

"It's been a lot of fun. I've been involved in coaching for about 15 years through peewee and bantam – a great learning experience, very rewarding," he said.
