Weather gives coaches chance to hold outdoor tryouts

"Owen Bell is in excellent shape. (The Town of Killingly) has been able to work on it because there wasn't much frost, and it will be the earliest we've ever been able to get on it since I've been coaching," Vogt said.
First-year Plainfield head baseball coach Jason Chaviaras and veteran softball coach Jim Langlois had similar praise for the people who have been working on the fields in Central Village to ensure the first day of the season was spent outside.
