Designer Roland Mouret showed a Fall/Winter 12 collection inspired by the big freeze of 1947 at Paris Fashion week on Saturday.
The French fashion designer included his inspiration in his show notes - describing the time when weather dictated fashion.

The array of jackets boasted furry sleeves and shoulders to add to the cold-weather led display.
Despite the designs being classic and linear, they were pretty and feminine and showed off the models' slender arms and legs.
The colour palette was simple and included muted tones of mauve and grey. Softer hues were introduced throughout the show, including lemon, cream and blue.
Feminine dresses were spotted amongst the pieces on offer.
